No ACGIH TLV or OSHA PEL assigned. Minimize exposure in accordance
With good hygiene practice. Zeneca has established a provisional internal
exposure standard of 0.002 mg/m3 for Brodifacoum (active ingredient)
as an 8-hour TWA.

During manufacturing: Use local exhaust to keep exposures to a minimum.
EYE PROTECTION:
During manufacturing: Safety glasses with side shields.
BODY PROTECTION:
During manufacturing: Impervious gloves and apron. PVC has been shown to
be impervious to brodifacoum. Remove contaminated clothing and wash before
rewearing. Gloves are recommended for handling the finished product.
RESPIRATORY PROTECTION:
During manufacturing: When handling large quantities of end-use product,
use MSHA-NIOSH approved respirator for pesticides.
Other protective equipment:

Special precautions or other comments:
During manufacturing: Store in a cool dry area away from products with
strong odors. Keep in an area suitable for pesticide storage. Prevent
accumulation of dust. Prevent skin contact. Promote good personal
hygiene.

GENERAL INFORMATION ABOUT ACUTE OR OTHER TOXICITIES
General information
This description of acute toxicological properties is based on laboratory
results and experience with this material.

Other effects of overexposure:
Effects are those of anticoagulant overdosage, i.e., reduced blood
clotting ability with spontaneous bleeding in various body organs.
Body accumulation is likely to result from repeated exposures to
brodifacoum since its half-life is estimated to be 120 days. Individuals
with blood clotting disorders may be more susceptible to overexposure
effects.
